Gabbard has faced bipartisan criticism for her perceived friendliness toward authoritarian regimes, including meeting with Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. Her calls for cooperation with Russia, despite its aggression and cyber threats, raise concerns about her ability to take a firm stance against adversaries.
